Grease Trap - Supply - Delivery - Installation
Manual Grease traps work by slowing the flow of waste water, this allows it to cool and separate into layers with the FOGS (Fats, Oils & Grease) sitting on top and water at the bottom. The outlet is designed to only allow the liquids at the bottom to then be released into the drainage system.
It is important to fit a grease trap that is large enough for the flow of waste water going through it, if you install a trap that is too small then the flow of water entering will push some of the FOGs out into the drain dramatically reducing the effectiveness of the trap.
Manual grease traps are sold based on the flow of waste water they are capable of separating measured in litres per minute and not the holding capacity of the tank its self, for example a 110L grease trap is capable of separating the waste water flowing into it at rate of 110L per minute.
